Kia ora Koutou, Ko Sasha Hancock ahau. I am the Associate Principal, and the Year 7 and 8 teacher. I’ve been teaching at Toko for quite a few years now and I still love it here. My husband and then our children went to Toko School so I feel quite connected to this kura.
For the last four years I have been in the classroom part time while carrying out other roles, so I’m looking forward to being fully back in the class again this year. I aim to push the kids out of their comfort zone and challenge their limits. I want them to learn and demonstrate kindness and resilience and how to act with integrity.
Some of my roles include mentoring new or beginning teachers, school wide assessment, leading digital learning and leading our writing journey. I am the staff union rep and the staff rep on the Board of Trustees.
