Welcome to Term 2 2008
We started the term with a teacher only day! Toko School teachers worked with Ngaere School teachers and a gentleman by the name of Lester Flockton. The topic of the day was the development of the new NZ curriculum in our schools.

Jones Cup was held on May the 18th. A very successful warm day. Schools from the cluster and beyond contributed to the day.

The school bus turn around initiative has taken a big step forward with many Dads and tractor and heavy machinery here on ..... The end result of two days work is a large area leveled and the potential to further develop a large off the road bus turnaround area.

Junior Play Day was held on Tuesday the 3rd of June. The two junior classes were invovled and by all accounts this was a very successful morning. The chldren were really motivated and presented their "plays" very well. A large number of parents came along and supported their children.

The BP Technology Challenge went well with two teams participating from the year 7 and 8 class. At the end of the day the teams came 5th and 8th which is very credible with over 30 teams competing!
